Trails of Discovery

A Trail of Discovery is a question sheet that guides children around a church or other building of interest and encourages them to engage with the art, architecture, history and furnishings. Volunteers research and write questions and corresponding answer sheets with the aim of encouraging 8-12 year olds and their families to learn about these buildings and inspiring them to visit and enjoy others.

If you are interested in becoming inolved in this activity, please speak to the Chairman or a member of the committee.

What help are we looking for?

  • taking photographs,
  • making a simple plan of the building,
  • developing questions and activities for children aged 8-12

Enthusiasm is more important than experience!

The group have completed Trails for the churches of St Mary and St Chad in Brewood, St Bartholomew's, Tong, St Andrew's, Shifnal  and, most recently, St Mary Magdalene, Albrighton.
